We had the privilege a couple weeks ago of delivering Fitbits to the teens at Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. For over two years, Children’s Birthday Miracles has been working to secure sponsorship for our innovative Fitbit program for Kids Cancer Care. Thanks to Volunteer Alberta Civil Society Emerging Leaders Microgrant Program, we received a $5,000 grant, enabling us to purchase over 30 Fitbit Inspire 3 devices for the patients.![]()

A heartfelt thank you goes to Google and Fitbit Enterprise for supporting our research proposal, offering a discount, and providing resources to help us accurately track the patients’ health data. We’re thrilled to collaborate with ACSEL through Volunteer Alberta, Google, Fitbit Enterprise, and Kids Cancer Care to promote physical activity, monitor sleep patterns, and enhance the well-being of children undergoing cancer treatment and recovery.![]()

One of the highlights of the day was seeing a patient excitedly tell his mother they needed to download the Google Fitbit application immediately so he could start using his new device. Moments like these remind me why this initiative is so meaningful. CBM looks forward to sharing the successes of this program and continuing to make a positive impact on childhood cancer treatments.![]()
